How does the BSA know it's communicating the principles of Scouting? Let's ask the "Voice of the Scout".
What is the "Voice of the Scout"?
Twice a year, in March and October, a survey is emailed out to 1.2 million respondents (parents, scouts, leaders and charter organization). Each survey asks questions specific to that respondent type. The answers are aggregated and a NPS (Net Promoter Score) is calculated. NPS scores are then used to determine how things are going. If changes are needed, these scores will tell the BSA where. The Infographic from Spring 2016 included with this post shows areas of opportunity and success that were happening back in 2016.
Survey respondents are selected randomly (to be representative) and questionnaires are intend to be completed by the specified respondent. You can provide feedback to the NCAC on concerns, issues or praise anytime (you don't know need a survey). To be a part of the "Voice of the Scout" Survey" respondents must reply within 10 days of receiving their email invitation.
